A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Christmas wreath making session on Saturday 7th December 2019 at the Advinia Care Home in Rutherglen.

We were blown away by the number of you lovely people who came along to the session! It was great for us to see everyone getting creative, chatting, and enjoying the lovely festive tunes from Stonelaw High School’s brass band.

Thanks so much to all who came and joined in the fun and who left us donations – in cash alone you donated £252 and with wreath sales we raised a total of £500.  Fantastic!  This money is crucial in allowing us to continue with our aims of developing community gardening and environmental improvements across Rutherglen & Cambuslang.

A huge thank you to the team at Advinia Care home for letting us host the event in their lovely warm building and who went out of their way to look after us.

A huge thanks to Mr MacAleenan of Stonelaw High School and his band of hugely talented musicians for kicking off the event with some great festive tunes. We know it’s a busy time of year for you so we are very grateful that you gave up your time for us.

Thanks also to Tesco Burnside for the donation of mince pies, to Elfy Trees for the tree cuttings, and to Angela for the holly.

Last, but not least, thanks to our wonderful volunteers & trustees who helped in the lead up to & on the day of the event. Great teamwork.
