Growing our Community.

We strongly believe that partnership working and developing a network of like-minded organisations, community groups and businesses – all working towards improving local lives and places – is the way forward. By taking this approach we can share resources, information, and contacts, avoid duplication and build a stronger case for initiatives which will make Rutherglen a healthier and happier place to be!

Rutherglen Green Network:
With this in mind Grow 73 has set up a Green Network which meets every 6 weeks and includes other local groups & organisations such as Healthy & Happy CDT, R:Evolve Recycle, Burnside In Bloom, Ace Place Nursery, Project 31, RACHA and South Lanarkshire Health & Social Care Partnership. If you or your organisation would like to get involved, please get in touch!

Rail 74 Community Rail Partnership (CRP)
Grow 73 is a founding member of the Rail 73 Community Rail Partnership (CRP), a charity which is funded by Scotrail and has been set up to develop projects which will benefit the communities along the train line from Rutherglen to Hamilton.   The CRP is always looking for more people/organisations to support its work and to find ways in which it can support local projects – please see the Facebook page for more info.

Clydesmill Community Fire Station
Grow 73 is providing support to Clydesmill Community Fire Station to develop a community garden on its grounds in Cambuslang.
